The Multicentric Post Graduate Program in Physiological Sciences (PMPGCF) was proposed in 2008 by the Brazilian Society of Physiology (SBFis) with the objective of stimulating and supporting postgraduate courses in Physiology in centers of Emerging research in our country. The PMPGCF is a network program of Master's and PhD level, made up of Researchers from Consolidated postgraduate studies in the area (CAPES 6-7 concept): UFMG, USP / SP, USP / RP, UFRGS and UFRRJ (nucleating centers) which stimulate and support Postgraduate degree in Physiological Sciences located in Emerging Research Centers associated with the Multicenter. Among these associated centers is Postgraduate in Physiological Sciences of the UFPB (PPGCF / UFPB). In addition to promoting e encourage the Graduate Program in Emerging Centers, the Multicenter Program, for its organization, provides students from emerging partner institutions, the opportunity to pursue disciplines, do research internships and establish collaborations with laboratories of the nucleating centers, which has contributed to strengthening research and postgraduate studies at partner centers. It should emphasize that the PMPGCF / UFPB is the first and only Postgraduate Program in Physiological Sciences of the State of Paraíba and the third in the Northeast region.
